Training Tuesday

I won’t lie, last week sucked for my runs. It felt like my legs were dead weight all week and just couldn’t get my mind into the runs. I really hate runs like that as it really beats me mentally, which is silly as I know I can run a half marathon.

I don’t think that I’ve mentioned it on here, but I signed up for a 10k in August. We have to be in Edmonton for a baby and wedding shower, and there was a 10k on the Saturday night, so I thought why not? Plus, you get a medal for finishing Smile Even better!

How is your training going? Have you signed up for any races lately?

    I'm not training to run...I'm training to stay in shape. Yesterday it was a down day for me - haven't neck issues - herniated disc...eeek. So, today we will see what I can do. :/

  5. I still have runs like that ALL the time so I know how you feel. Next week will be better :)

  6. Bad runs and bad weeks are definitely a part of training. When they last longer than a week, I try to figure out if I'm running too much, running not enough, maybe not eating or drinking enough, maybe not getting enough sleep...lots of reasons. Sometimes though, you just have a few bad ones.

    The good news is, the next run might be a great one.

  8. Training for me is....well, going. I need to kick it up a notch - running the Quebec City 1/2 marathon at the end of August!

  9. I am training for the half now, but am not really following a training plan. Instead I just do the 3 running work outs each week, cross train 2 days, and rest 2 days. I have never ran this little in terms of # of days a week, but all 3 workouts are quality, so I think it will work to my advantage to do this! We'll see come October!

  10. no races or running for me! To be honest, I really dislike running. and jogging. I have bad knees, it hurts. And I just find it boring. But I do like to do things like swim, and we live near a park now and I would love to get a bike! I'm also really interested in taking some dance lessons, or doing some zumba fitness!

  11. Anyone who runs - or walks - or simply does what that want is admirable :) Embrace the sucky runs!

  12. Hi! New follower. I love running. I have 2 half marathons and 1 full. I am running another half in August and a full in October. I love finding other people to share running stories with. Have fun at the 10K! :)
