Scotiabank Calgary marathon: training week eight

Another week of training is done! Just a friendly reminder that if you are wanting to run any of the races on June 1st, 2014, the price goes up on April 1st. You can register here.

  • 4.2km walk with Harley
  • At home tabata workout with:
    KB swings, squat jumps, Russian twists, DB snatch, shoulder touches, clean & jerk, one legged dead lift
March 18, 2014
  • 6 x 800s
    • 1km warm up
    • 3:52/3:53/3:55/3:47/ 3:49/ 3:48 
    • 8.6km total
March 19, 2014
  • 5.52km {5:01/km avg pace} run. It was supposed to be a 6km tempo run, but I ran out of time at lunch because I was also going to pick up my race package
  • 4.0km walk with Harley

  4. I am thinking about ordering the Insanity DVDs, what do you think of them? Worth the price? Looks like a great week of workouts :)

  5. You got another great week of workouts in. I know you are going to run such a strong marathon this year. Now we just need Mother Nature to give you some good running weather soon!

    I had a great week of work outs. I ran 3 times, did a spin class and strength training class, went hiking, and did a deep stretch yoga class. So lots of variety.
