Weekly workouts

I haven't talked much lately about my workouts as my motivation was struggling for a while. It's finally started to pick back up. I was feeling very sluggish and gross, so I decided to do another round of the 21 day fix. I shouldn't have an excuse not to workout as Amelia has been napping longer which leaves me plenty of time to get an at home workout in. But, some days a nap just wins out!

Monday November 9
  • 3.2km walk
  • 21 day plyo fix

Tuesday November 10
  • 4.26km {5:24/km pace} run with Harley
  • 21 day upper fix

Wednesday November 11
  • 21 day lower fix

  • 21 day pilates fix

    • 3 - 500m hill repeats (2:41, 2:49, 2:50)
    • 700m cool down

Friday November 13
  • 4km walk
  • 21 day cardio fix

  • 21 day yoga fix

Tell me: how was your week of workouts?

  1. Nice job! I think doing things like fixes and shreds are so motivating. I didn't work out much in October between recovering from the marathon and traveling so much so I set a goal of getting 30 workouts in during the month of November. I'm 2 workouts ahead of schedule at this point which feels good! I activated a 30 day pass to a yoga studio close by which I love so have been going there 3-4 times a week, plus running when and I can. And then yesterday I started the Holiday shred.

  2. Ruts are the worst- I think I'm about to hit one myself. I'm doing the 21 day fix extreme this week and lots of walking with the dogs. Dang cold weather is keeping outside time to a minimum!

  3. Nice work! that's a kickass week of workouts!

I am done Extreme in a couple days and will do another round of regular fix. But I sub out the cardio and yoga fix videos the days I run and do yoga. I find doubling up on workouts burns me out super fast.

  4. I should make myself do another round of the 21 Day Fix... I've been just doing a mish-mash of different programs, still working out 6 days a week for at least a half hour, but not doing so well in the healthy eating department. Sluggish and gross perfectly describes how I've been feeling lately. I need to get back on track!

  5. I've heard such good things about the 21 day fix! I've never tried it myself though. You've had a fantastic week of workouts and might I say how fabulous you look!!! I love that you run with Harley. :)

  6. Good for you! I'm still lacking on working out. Walking yes, but I just have no will to get back at it! Hopefully soon!! I know once I get started I will feel better and enjoy it!

  7. Awesome week of workouts! I am jealous lol. I am excited for mat leave to have more time to be active. Right now 4 hours a week is my goal!

  8. Nice work!! I wish we lived closer so I could walk with you :) Running would be out of the question as you are so speedy!!

  9. mom - now grandmaNovember 18, 2015 5:52 AM

oh when you come home in December - we will NOT work out.... cookies, moms cooking and early Christmas are in order.... so work out while you can my daughter... it's always good to have you come home!.... ok I will take Amelia for walks.
see you soon.. baking as I type.

  10. I have done zero exercise for the longest time - isn't that awful? I have kind of given up even trying to get some exercise in because I am just not at all motivated at this point.

  11. I am doing the 21 Day Fix right now too. This is my last week of it, and then I start extreme next week. I have not done Extreme yet, so I am excited for something new!

  12. I should have told you to do the Holiday Shred with Lisa and I! I think you would have really liked the workouts, they are INTENSE. It's been the perfect shake-up to my routine!!

Glad you're feeling better about working out and getting back into your routine!

  13. Nice work starting the fix again. Which do you like more? Your Mom is awesome. Love her comments. :)
