Amelia is still doing really well at the day home. We haven't had any issues with her there and she is happy when we pick her up. Our day home lady always tells us how she "talks" so much, how she loves to eat, and how she is the princess of the house. Oh boy!
She picks up on so much stuff now- she can point to her head, belly, nose, toes and sometimes mouth. She's so proud of herself when she does it too :) If we are in the basement before bed and I ask her if she wants to have a bath, she takes off crawling up the stairs to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, she's starting laying down on the bath mat as I always take her clothes and diaper off there before the bath. She has also started pointing her finger and babbling away if she hears Harley or the neighbours dog barking- I apparently tell Harley to stop barking a lot ;)
Things she loves:
- putting things into containers and taking them back out
- flipping through books
- bum dropping on the couch when we tell her not to stand on the couch
- playing on the deck
- playing with water
- crawling up the stairs
She is wearing size 4 swaddlers during the day and size 4 baby dry at night. Her clothes range from 12 months at Carters (but getting a bit short), to 12-18 and some 18 month stuff.
She still goes to bed between 7-7:30pm and is up between 6-6:45am. She naps once a day at the day home for an hour to an hour and a half, but will nap longer on the weekend at home. This girl also still LOVES her bottle, so she gets one in the morning, one during the day and one at night. She's also gotten way better with drinking out of a sippy cup- she chugs the water out of them now!
She still isn't fully walking on her own. She has gotten way more steady on her feet and will walk between two people (if they sit on the ground). She also has no problem walking if you hold onto one of her hands. She just seems content to crawl to get to where she wants to go. One day she'll walk ;)
She also got two more teeth in the last two months- one on the bottom and then one molar on the bottom left hand side of her mouth. Her molar didn't seem to bother her too much, so hopefully that's the trend with the rest of them.
She also laughs SO much now and I love it! It's always at the silliest of things too. Last night I was bouncing a ball off the living room wall and she was just giggling. Love it so much.
We love you Amelia!
