Scenes from the week + end

I meant to get this up yesterday, but ran out of time and energy. Don't you wish you could buy both of those things?

Monday: we had a quiet day as the previous weekend I came down with mastitis. I was starting to feel better, but not 100%.

Tuesday: Amelia had her class in the morning, so Gabe and I ran to Dollarama to grab some stuff to make Valentine's day crafts. We didn't do much else as Amelia naps in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Amelia was at the day home, so it was just Gabe and I. I had a physio appointment in the morning, so we went to that and then headed home. I was going to drop by my work since we were close by, but Gabe was getting grumpy. He ended up falling asleep on the way home, so we didn't do too much in the afternoon besides doing a workout and cleaning the floors.

Thursday: we got a huge dump of snow the night before and it kept up throughout the day. We were supposed to go try a mom and baby/toddler workout class, but it was cancelled because of the weather. We spent the day hanging around the house and ran to the grocery store to grab a couple things for dinner. Amelia and I also played outside in the snow while Gabe napped. She loved it!

Friday: in the morning, we had a play date with our neighbours. Amelia napped in the afternoon, so we didn't do much else. I walked Harley once Brian was home, and we worked on Amelia's valentine's day cards.

Saturday: we had no plans in the morning, so we decided to take the kids to the library since we didn't go during the week. In the afternoon, I headed over to Ange's house for a girls and games afternoon. It was quite fun and nice to have some girl time!

Sunday: we had zero plans this day and ended up having a quiet day around the house. The morning was spent cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, doing laundry and making muffins. In the afternoon while Amelia napped, I went for a 5km run with Harley.

  1. Such cute kiddos! I love the one of Amelia & Gabe in the grocery cart.
You've had so much snow! We've had a really mild winter but did finally have a decent storm yesterday.

  2. Oh no!! I have never had it but know it is no fun at all :( This snow is crazy! I do not remember the last time we had so much!
Glad you got a girls night! Hopefully in the spring I can make the trip down for another :)

  3. Isn't mastitis the worst?? Did you have it with Amelia? I have been aggressively massaging my boobs in a hot shower each night and it's really helped me. Good for you for getting out in a run in the cold weather! I am anxious to start running again but my pelvis still doesn't feel 100%. I actually have an appointment with a physio who specializes in pelvic floor health this evening so I'm looking forward to seeing what she has to say about it.

  4. Way to go on running in the cold weather! You are a tough lady! Sorry to hear about mastitis. I am really hoping to avoid getting it when I am nursing but it seems like something most moms come down with!

Your girls and games afternoon sounded fun. I love get togethers like that. I was hoping to have girlfriends over to put together a puzzle around my birthday but had to cancel that idea as my blood clot formed around then and I wasn't up for entertaining or being up and about. :( I'll have to try to plan a party like that some day, though!
